4 Awesome Ways to Transform Old Windows for Your Wedding

If you're considering doing a remodel that involves removing old windows and installing new homes, you may be wondering what in the world you are going to do with the old ones. With more and more people turning to repurposing items, you can repurpose your windows into items that can be used in your upcoming wedding or a wedding of a friend or family member. Here are four ideas:

1. Seating Chart

Use a mat board in a color that matches your wedding theme and attach it to the back of your window. You can then use each section of the window for a different table or area of your reception floor. Use a marker that can be used on glass to create the guest and table list that will direct guests to the appropriate place. For a larger wedding, you can draw out the layout of the reception floor with the names of each guest.

2. Greeting Board

Welcome all of your guests to your wedding with a custom wedding-themed window. Make sure it has at least two to three window sections or panes, depending on what information you would like to include. In one pane, you could paint it with chalkboard paint so that you can display a personal message for your guests. In a separate section, you can place a photograph of the bride and groom. In another section, you could display a few pertinent details regarding the event, such as time, date, etc. This last one works best if you're putting up all of your out-of-town guests in the same local hotel.

3. Picture Collage

Another great idea is to use old windows that have been painted to match your theme to create a trip down good ole memory lane. Pictures are the perfect way to display the way you and your significant other met and fell in love. Don't forget to add in a few silly pictures with the serious ones. Plus, it acts as a beautiful decoration for the reception.

4. Memorable Gift

Some wedding parties will have a large plate, banner, or something similar for all guests to sign and write a personal message to the bride and groom. Instead of one of those things, you can use an old window. Allow guests to write warm wishes and notes on the window panes with various colored markers. At the end of the evening, you will have a one-of-a-kind gift to take home with you that you can carry with you for years to come.

All four of these wedding ideas are excellent ways to give life to your old windows while replacing your windows, making your wedding extremely unique and one to be talked about for months.
